Established in 1977 by two well known airgun collectors, it was the first actual airgun shop in the land. No shotguns or firearms - purely airguns. Early advertising claimed to have "all the world's airguns" - something hardly possible today with the vast choice.

Company description
From the start a huge range of airguns was on offer in order to attract airgun enthusiasts from a wide area. MAG specialised in over-the-counter sales (rather than mail order) and this is still our preference, so that people can get the right product, first time. We carry the stock. Why not try before you buy? With our unrivalled experience and our good reputation to uphold we can help enthusiast or beginner. Come and see us!

Worst Airgun Shop

, 25 July 2014

After visiting few gunshops in the North West - I can say with certainty - this is the worst Air Gun shop despite their long established existance. Here is why, please read carefully before making same mistake as me, I'm not making things up, I'm stating pure facts to help you buyer make a right decision: - Very, very Expensive Air Pistols/Rifle. Their stock, imo is the most expensive in the country. The Air pistols are at least £30 higher than in average Air Gun shop. Example (pls google to ascertain): HW45 basic model costs £280, the most expensive n the region is £250 BSA Lightening XL Tactical costs £310, the most expensive in the region is £265 Their HW97K etc is £100 + then average costs, same applies to most of the airguns - Worst Customer Service They don't accept any returns and only issue credit notes to be ripped off in the shop. Don't believe me - try if you don't believe me They don't give you proper receipts/invoices - only handwritten notes upon request - if you're business like me forget about claiming VAT back etc If you DARE, I say DARE to try to excahnge something they will be abrupt and ask you politely to to never try it again and get lost. They're rude - They don't really know much about newer guns only later models - call and see for yourself Age verification: Unlike other gun shops, I wasn't asked to see and scan my Passport/Driving license for age verification which really worries me as minor that look old can buy airguns from this shop. When you come to buy first time and prepared to pay what you're told they're great, but things like after service, refunds,up to date information, proper receipts, warranty etc - FORGET IT Above things are facts and can be verified and trialled (which I don't recommend). Most of other shops in the area are up to date with great customer service etc, but do skip this one!
